Frogs

Frogs are used mainly to study the progress of early foetal development, i.e. embryology.

It is easy to get frogs to produce eggs, and the eggs are easily harvested. Furthermore, frog eggs keep well and can be managed for longer periods than mammal cells in laboratory settings.
